There are a multitude of places around the world where these plants grow either in wild outdoor locations with latitudes similar to those of the Amazon or in greenhouses that create «similar» conditions.
-The best known and pioneer case was Terence Mckenna and his wife Kathleen Harrison who founded in 1985 in Big Island in Hawaii the project «Bothanical Dimensions» which is still active today and where they gathered and cultivated the main entheogenic plants from all over the planet, including ayahuasca.
-On the other hand, the organization «Ayahuasca India» has been planting ayahuasca in the south of India for the last 10 years in wild monsoon environments, growing the plant unhindered.
-It has also been successfully planted and cultivated in the Chiapas jungle in Mexico.
-There are also specific ayahuasca greenhouses in Spain in Malaga and Tenerife. In Lleida there are also some specimens in the greenhouse of Josep Pamies, famous founder and activist of the Dolca Revolució. In other places in Europe such as Holland there are also greenhouses although it is known that greenhouse plants do not secrete as much DMT and active principles as those in wild environments that are more exposed to uncertainty and «danger».
It is also known that in latitudes such as northern Australia and certain jungles of Malaysia, Philippines, Papua New Guinea, Vietnam, Costa Rica, Panama, southern Nicaragua and Indonesia it can grow if planted as well as in the jungle of the Congo Basin and some parts of the Gulf of Guinea and Equatorial Africa.
Therefore, ayahuasca is not endemic to the Amazon and it is not «Amazonian extractivism» to use it, expand it or take it as long as it is rethought more than it is used.
Ayahuasca is the heritage of mankind and is not owned by anyone
